General Administration of Customs Releases Foreign Trade Data for the First 10 Months Fer House

On November 7, the General Administration of Customs announced foreign trade data for the first 10 months of this year. China's single-month year-on-year growth rate of imports and exports after four consecutive months of negative growth, finally realized from negative to positive.

According to the General Administration of Customs statistics, the first 10 months of this year, China's import and export value of 34.32 trillion yuan, year-on-year (the same below) growth of 0.03%. Among them, exports 19.55 trillion yuan, an increase of 0.4%. in October, China's imports and exports amounted to 3.54 trillion yuan, an increase of 0.9%. Among them, exports of 1.97 trillion yuan, down 3.1%, the year-on-year rate of decline expanded slightly.

Country by country, October single month, China's exports to the United States, ASEAN's growth rate than in September were further expanded; the first 10 months of this year, China's total import and export to build a "Belt and Road" countries 15.96 trillion yuan, an increase of 3.2%. Among them, exports 8.78 trillion yuan, an increase of 7.7%; imports 7.18 trillion yuan, down 1.8%.

         Among specific export products, the total export value of electromechanical products in the first 10 months reached 11.43 trillion yuan, up 2.8% year-on-year, accounting for 58.5% of the total export value. Among them, automobile is still the fastest-growing category in the export of electromechanical products, and the total export value has reached 582.43 billion yuan in October this year, an increase of 88.5%.

     Wang Qing, chief macro analyst at Oriental Jincheng, believes that the main reason for October's less-than-expected exports is still that the global and European and American manufacturing PMI indexes have declined in that month, and external demand is weak overall.
