"On the occasion of the 134th Canton Fair, the 144-hour visa-free transit policy for foreigners can not only provide entry and exit convenience for foreigners who come to Guangzhou for short-term business negotiations, participation in exhibitions, cultural exchanges, sightseeing and tourism, and transit, but also optimize the business environment, promote the exchange of science and technology talents and economic and social development in the Greater Bay Area, which will bring considerable space for development. " The relevant person in charge of the Municipal Bureau of Commerce said.
The reporter learned at the meeting that since January 8, 2023, after the implementation of the national policy of "Class B B control", Guangzhou Baiyun Airport has resumed the 144-hour visa-free transit policy, and there are now temporary entry permit application service counters in the international arrival area of Baiyun Airport's T1 and T2 terminals. Passengers from Baiyun International Airport who meet the conditions of the policy, hold a combined ticket and transfer to another international flight within 24 hours can directly apply for visa-free transit.
It should be noted that travelers need to apply for a 24-hour temporary entry permit from the Chinese border control after landing at Guangzhou Baiyun International Airport with a valid passport or other international travel document, boarding pass for a subsequent flight, hotel booking order form, and completed foreigner's entry/exit card, etc. Citizens from 53 countries and regions, including Europe, the Americas, Oceania, and Asia, can stay in China for 144 hours without a Chinese visa when entering China from Baiyun International Airport, with their own valid international travel document, a third-country Citizens from 53 countries and regions, including Europe, America and Asia, with their valid international travel documents, third-country visas and connecting air tickets to third countries or regions with confirmed dates and seats within 144 hours, can stay in Guangdong for 144 hours without Chinese visas when entering China from Baiyun International Airport.
It is reported that in order to improve the efficiency of customs clearance for exhibitors, China Foreign Trade Center has set up a special channel for courtesy in Guangzhou Baiyun International Airport to guarantee the entry and customs clearance of overseas exhibitors of Canton Fair. Exhibitors participating in the Canton Fair can enjoy fast and convenient customs clearance services with their valid passports or other international travel documents, Canton Fair-related documents, invitation letters or pre-registration receipts and other documents.
